Revit on the Big Jobs!
Don’t miss the presentation by Kyle Bradley from Multiplex about Revit on a BIG Project from a contractor’s point of view.
Kyle Bradley – Engineer
Captain Kyle Bradley studied a bachelor of Civil Engineering of Commerce at UWA. He gained experience in bulk earthwork and civil services projects before making the change to Construction with Multiplex. He has been engaged on the Perth City Busport in Commercial, Perth Stadium in Planning and BIM coordination, and now, Mandurah forum shopping centre as a design coordinator. Kyle has developed his leadership and coordination skills through his Army Reserve service, including operational command of over 40 personnel and overall management of WA’s horizontal military construction assets. Kyle brings knowledge from multiple construction departments together with his understanding of software interaction and project requirements to deliver Revit’s translation to construction.
This will be followed by a discussion with Belinda Thompson (GHD) and Steve Langley (GHD – Laing O’Rourke) chaired by Ario Susanto (Hassell).
Belinda Thompson – BIM Coordinator
Belinda’s passion is Building Information Modelling and helping people maximize their projects potential to achieve a fantastic and highly marketable result.
She has been in a BIM leadership role for many years and currently is GHD’s BIM Coordinator for Western Australia. She brings a wealth of technical knowledge, predominately with Autodesk applications and associated Building Information Modelling software. Her strengths include BIM implementation, design technology adoption, staff training, project documentation and delivery and digital workflow.
Steve Langley – Design / Constructability Integration Lead
Steve started his career in the UK in the late 80’s as a Structural Draftsman, he has since been continuously involved in both Consulting Engineering and Construction. He made the move from the drawing board to AutoCAD in early 1994 and specialised in reinforced concrete and structural steelwork initially using products from UK based software house CADS Moving through the ranks to lead a number of Structural Drafting teams for the likes of White Young Green, Mott Macdonald, Capita, Babtie and SKM he also began performing the role of CAD Manager. As the industry and consulting moved into the 3D environment Steve began modelling in 2004 at SKM using 3D+, he began using Revit in 2009. In early 2010 he took the role as Design Team Lead at Laing O’Rourke’s new precast concrete manufacturing facility. Steve made the decision to move to Australia in late 2011 after an offer from SKM. In 2012 he moved back to Laing O’Rourke originally as part of the Digital Engineering team on Wheatstone LNG Project. In 2014 he began work on the Stadium Station Project and took the role as Digital Engineering Manager. Most recently he has moved to join the BIM team at GHD top work on the Forestfield Airport Link where he is the performing the role as the Design/Constructability Integration Lead.
